Fund Spotlight: Parke County EMS


US. News & World Report lists more than 150 hospitals in Indiana. Unfortunately, none of those 150+ hospitals are located in Parke County. Neighboring county hospitals provide quality care for Parke County citizens, but in an emergency situation transit via ambulance can sometimes take 30-45 minutes. That is why the Parke County Ambulance Service is such an important factor in providing quality care and quick response for Parke County citizens.

With that in mind Terry Hensley, Parke County Ambulance Service Director along with his wife Amy, began an endowment fund with the Parke County Community Foundation to assist in providing the best possible training to our first responder paramedic professionals. The Parke County EMS Endowment Fund provides annual earnings to carry out its training mission. Contributions to the fund can be made by anyone in any amount. Checks can be made out to:
