In the Spring of 2016, the Parke County Community Foundation Board of Directors challenged Parke County’s six incorporated communities to create an endowed fund for their town. The towns were offered a $20,000 match to any Parke County incorporated town who raised $5,000 for an endowed fund at the Foundation.
The citizens of Parke County responded, and all six communities met their match and beyond! A celebration reception was held in January with each town hosting a commemorative booth at the fairgrounds. Congratulations Parke County communities on a job well done!
